I founded NGC Foundation because I wanted to contribute to a future where children are not limited by the circumstances into which they were born. A future where a child's access to healthcare does not depend on their family's income; where hunger does not stand between a child and education; where children can learn in dignity, develop their potential, and grow into healthy, confident adults.

Our work therefore goes beyond one intervention. We work at the intersection of health, education, nutrition, wellbeing, empowerment, and community development because these things are not separate in a child's life. They are pieces of the same foundation.

Through our programmes and community initiatives, we seek to reach children and families who are often the easiest to overlook, and to provide practical support that can make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.

As a researcher and advocate in antimicrobial resistance and infectious diseases, I have spent years learning how prevention can be more powerful than treatment. That principle extends beyond the laboratory. If we want healthier communities tomorrow, we have to invest in people today, especially children.

NGC Foundation is my commitment to that investment.

But this is bigger than one person. It is a collective responsibility to build communities where children can be healthy, educated, protected, and empowered to become everything they are capable of becoming. Every child deserves more than the chance to survive. They deserve the opportunity to thrive. And that is the future we are working to build.
